Mr. Tomás O’Neill

Mr. O'Neill is a fully accredited Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon at St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. He is on the Irish Medical Council Specialist Register and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He is a registered member of the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons and the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.
He completed his specialist training across Ireland, Australia, England and Scotland, and previously served as the sole Cleft Lip and Palate Surgeon for Wales for almost five years before returning to Ireland.
Mr. O’Neill has undertaken extensive advanced training in facial and craniofacial surgery, completing two additional years of higher specialist training in Craniomaxillofacial and Cleft Surgery at the Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide and the Scottish National Cleft Surgical Services Unit in Glasgow. He also holds a Master’s degree in Craniomaxillofacial Surgery from Macquarie University, Sydney.
He is a highly experienced facial surgeon with specialist interests in skin oncology, hand surgery, cleft and craniofacial surgery, and the management of complex wounds.
Mr. O’Neill is deeply committed to surgical education and training and currently serves as National Training Programme Director for Core Trainees in Plastic Surgery. He has previously been nominated for Trainer of the Year in the UK and is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship from Macquarie University and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Rowan Nicks Scholarship for Great Britain and Ireland.
