Mr. Diver is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, specialising in trauma, with additional interests in burns, hand surgery and skin cancer.

He trained in Belfast, London and Auckland, New Zealand. Following training completion he joined the GMC specialist register and worked as a consultant in Newcastle upon Tyne and later in The Royal London Hospital where he was made substantive. He subsequently joined St. Vincent’s to be closer to family in Ireland. He is on the Irish Medical Council Specialist Register of Plastic Surgeons.

Mr. Diver is a full Member of British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and a Full Member of the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons for whom he serves on the Scientific Committee.

In addition he is a Member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers (Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh), current Regional Surgical Advisor for Northern Ireland, Deputy Chairman and Education lead of the Plastic Surgical Specialty Board, Deputy lead for Mentorship and past representative on the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (all for RCSEd).

He is an Instructor on an International Burns course (EMSB), and has an active academic life with over 40 publications in peer reviewed journals. He reviews for a number of international journals including PRS, JPRAS and The Surgeon (RCSEd). He is also an Editiorial Board Member for PRS journal, the largest plastic surgery journal worldwide. He participates in weekly teaching of junior plastic surgeons and cofounded the Royal London Hospital FRCSPlast exam course.

In his free time he enjoys keeping fit and spending time with his family.
